Following and prioritising the basic or special personal hygiene instructions given as preventative measures regarding personal care prevention, recommended by credible medical services and organizations since the 14th March of 2020.
Dealing with the spread is the most trustworthy prevention tactic currently given available for the greater good despite any costs. In order to secure the health and the well-being of our family members and our tenants members equally as well of the local population respectively, preventative measures have been taken to increase any safety against the spread of this pandemic.

In order to secure the health and the well-being for our family members equally and respectively. Preventative measures have been taken to increase any possibility against the spread of #COVID19 pandemic. As such we have undertaken earlier this week the decision to start welcoming later in this year after the 30rth of April of 2020 any dear future tenant.
The "Family Council of Eperia" has come across the family table for discussions and some vital actions. We salute and welcome the preventative measures taken on the 14th of March, 2020 from the respectable Health Services Authorities of the Hellenic Republic.
From the 15th of March 2020 untill the 30th of April, 2020 we suggest each person staying as much possibly more is needed in her/his place; as it is recommended the most trustworthy prevention given currently available for the greater good despite any costs.

House Hermion House Hermion, named after the mythical founder of Hermione, has a large bedroom with a double bed and a smaller one with a bunk bed, a lounge with a fireplace and a sofa that unfolds into a double bed, an open kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Easter is among the Greek religious festivities the most important. Maybe because of its symbolism, the death and the resurrection of the Godman which reflects the happily festivities of the ancient Demigods Dionysos or Adonis; it's maybe the warm and sweet arrival of Spring which brings joyful emotions; the Easter festivities during the last three days of the Holy Week stand for their importance and spectacular atmosphere for 1700 years all over the Greek orthodox world. Hermionis is broadly well known for its rich tradition in the customs and the easter events of Holy Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Although the Greek Orthodox Holy Week is a period of mourning (penthos),the Greek landscape is embracing the colourful Spring Season dressed with green grass and flowers. During the first days of the Holy Week the churches are crowded with believers that attend there to hear the medieval Byzantine hymns about Christ's Passions.

On Holy Friday, many of the worshippers offer much of their time decorating the "Epitaphios" at the local churches with wild flowers selected from the nearby fields and their gardens. An Epitaphios/Greek Epitaph is an icon of Christ representing him dead after the crucifiction, having so great ritualistic importance. The colourful decorated Greek-Epitaphs of the two main churhes of Hermione are carried out all over the old village while the priests are chanting and the villagers follow the procession holding dark colouredcandles symbolizing their mourn. Finally both of them along with the worhispers and the clergy meet at the port of Hermione.
On Holy Saturday the main churches of Hermione, Panagias and Taxiarchon celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. It is common tradition among the villages of Hermionis to celebrate with fireworks this event direct at the moment when the priest announces to the crowd “Christos Anesti” (Christ has Risen). A combination of chants and hundreds of fireworks outside the local churches electrify the atmosphere while the worshippers beggin to swing up and down their specific Easter-made colourful candles with the joyful rhythm of the bells as they walk among the old stone cobbled roads of Hermione.
The Easter colourful candles are called in Greek "lambathes" and are specifically lit from the Holy Light transferred to Greece from Jerusalem's Temple of Resurrection. After the priest delivers the joyfull message "Christ is risen"/"Christos Anesti"the thousands of villagers, visitors and tourists are gathering at the local Greek tabernas and restaurants where the old standing tradition of cracking the red Easter eggs starts, just before the Holy Saturday dinner begins with the traditional Easter soup called “magiritsa".

The Easter Sunday is a day of great celebration around the Easter table with all the family and friends. It is mainly dominated by roasted meat. It's the day where traditional songs and dances echoe from and through the Greek countryside. This "easter parties" last until late at night when another local custom the of "Burning of Judas"/"Kapsimo tou Iuda" is celebrated at the port of Hermione.
This special custom, the "Burning of Judas" is celebrated every Easter Sunday at the port of Hermione bringin people from every corner of Greece and the rest of the world as well the attention of the media. The "Burning of Judas" is a special and very old custom representing the punishment of the avarice traitor- Judas. During the past 25 years the custom has gained much popularity and interest mainly because its spectacular, large scale, fireworks as well the chorus of the fishing boats forming a fleet "armed" with flares. It takes place in the centre of the main harbor of the village and it can be watched through out all the natural bay that surrounds the harbor.

The preparations start two or three days before. The locals make an effigy of Judas out of fabric, wood and straw. The "Judas" is set on a floating wooden raft in the centre of the harbor waiting for his spectacular punishment. The custom begins at 21:00 o'clock when a small fleet of local fishing boats approaches it from the Posidion peninsula where the ancient Greek acropolis and later on a Byzantine castle once stood. The small fleet moving in circles around the effigy creates a fantastic scenery while the fishermen and other volunteers upon the boats hold torches and smoke canisters as the music plays on and petards explode from far like lightnings. At the last circle the leader makes a last manouvre and his small fleet of "avengers" sets fire on the raft where "Judas" stands giving the "coup de grâce" to the Traitor. A chorus of thunderous sound and dazzling displays of colors are created by the hundreds fireworks upon the sky of Hermionis giving a festive character to the punishment of the traitor Judas. At that point and on traditional dances start while the effigy of Judas continuously explodes and finally burns up.
